The Bengals let Mondon Jr. fall into their laps, and walked away with a B-.

Somebody in pick 154 was going to get robbed, and it turned out to be the rest of the league. The Bengals sat still while Smael Mondon Jr., the No. 112 name on the board, slid all the way to them, then sprinted to the podium. A sturdy weekend that grades out a B-.

Leaving quarterback unaddressed is the roster risk they will have to answer for in the fall. They gave back a little on the phones for the right to move. The imported veterans give this class a floor the draft picks could not on their own.

The hoard sets up next April more than it helps this September.

In sum, a sturdy weekend with one asterisk, the quarterback spot they never got to.
