If confidence were a draft strategy, the Bengals would have aced it. Zion Logue at No. 237 is 63 spots clear of where he belonged. A weekend that fought the value and lost, hence the D-.

They handed away value on the phones that the picks cannot earn back. They punted on linebacker, and it is the miss that keeps the grade honest. Getting Lovett where they did is the sort of value that quietly makes a class.

Bottom line, they will need several of these picks to beat their grades just to break even, and linebacker is still a hole.
