Boards are made to be trusted, and the Bengals shredded theirs for Trey Zuhn III. He came off 34 spots early, and the room will hear about it.

The Taaffe pick is fine in a vacuum, less so with tight end, wide receiver and other spots still on the board. They covered a lot of ground and still skipped tight end, which is a strange place to end up. Green at that cost is the sort of edge that compounds over a roster.

In sum, a sturdy weekend with one asterisk, the tight end spot they never got to.
