Pegues should have been long gone. The Bengals pounced, and earned a B+.

You build a draft on nights like this. JJ Pegues had no business being available in pick No. 245, and the Bengals did the only sane thing and turned in the card. No fireworks, but a solid B+.

They robbed the room blind at the table, and it lifts the grade on its own. Mastromanno has a lot of ground to make up just to look fairly priced. They will regret leaving quarterback for another day if the season turns on it.

In sum, a sturdy weekend with one asterisk, the quarterback spot they never got to.
