The Bengals won the night they stopped Taylor from sliding. Grade: B+.

Somebody in No. 179 was going to get robbed, and it turned out to be the rest of the league. The Bengals sat still while Mason Taylor, the No. 99 name on the board, slid all the way to them, then sprinted to the podium. A sturdy weekend that grades out a B+.

The quarterback spot stays a question, and it was the one they most needed an answer at. The cost of the Frazier reach is exactly the players who went right after him.

They squeezed a little extra out of every move they made.

All told, a draft that does its job without fuss, and there is real value in that.
