No fireworks, just a tidy B for the Bengals.

The Bengals' one glaring miss is tight end, a need they left exactly as they found it. Good, not great, and the B says as much.

They banked enough surplus on Simmons to cover a lot of smaller sins. The cost of the Oatis reach is exactly the players who went right after him. The roster is better shaped than it was, with cornerback chief among the fixes.

Building through the lines is a philosophy, and they stuck to it.

Good work on the whole, with tight end the one box left unchecked.
