When the story of this class is written, it opens with Hayden Hatten at pick No. 254, a reach of 59 spots that the board flatly disagrees with.

They covered a lot of ground and still skipped interior defensive lineman, which is a strange place to end up. It is not that Smith is a bad player; it is that the Bengals had louder needs to answer first. However the rest shakes out, Guyton at that price is a win they earned.
