Nothing loud, just a tidy B- for the Bengals.

The Bengals spent real capital to be 49 picks early on Fentrell Cypress II, and the board is going to hold them to it. Call it a sensible B-, earned the boring way.

The Smith pick is fine in a vacuum, less so with interior defensive lineman and quarterback still on the board. That interior defensive lineman hole did not close this weekend, and it was the biggest one on the wall.

Cornerback was the priority and it is no longer a question, which is most of the job.

All told, a draft that does its job without fuss, and there is real value in that.
