No fireworks, just a tidy B for the Bengals.

Nobody had Hayden Hatten this high, and it is not close. The Bengals reached 59 spots to get him at the 254th pick. Call it a sensible B, earned the boring way.

The Simpson pick alone nudges the whole weekend up a notch. That tight end hole did not close this weekend, and it was the biggest one on the wall. The Bengals indulged a want in Stover while a need in tight end, interior defensive lineman and other spots stayed open.

All told, a solid class that does its job everywhere but tight end.
