The Bengals reached for Sinnott and never recovered. Grade: F. You can fall in love with a player. You are not supposed to marry him in the wrong round. The Bengals did exactly that with Ben Sinnott in pick No. 80.
They handed away value on the phones that the picks cannot earn back. The cornerback spot stays a question, and it was the one they most needed an answer at. Cowing falling to them is the kind of break a good board is built to catch.
They are betting the present roster is worth a lighter draft next spring.
There is no soft landing here; this class has to massively overperform just to matter.
