The Bears let Mullings fall into their laps, and walked away with a D. Every so often the board makes a mistake, and the Bears were there to profit. Kalel Mullings, the No. 113 name on the board, should have been long gone before slot 211. A weekend that fought the value and lost, hence the D.
Reaching for Mills left real value on the table behind him. They handed away value on the phones that the picks cannot earn back. They will regret leaving edge rusher for another day if the season turns on it.
In the end, a class the front office will want to grow past quickly.
