Call it larceny. Nicholas Singleton sat on the board until Round 7, Pick 19, and the Texans did not need to be asked twice. More right than wrong, and a B to match.

They will regret leaving edge rusher for another day if the season turns on it. Reaching for McLaughlin left real value on the table behind him.

Job largely done: running back settled and 6 of 8 of the wish list covered. Building through the lines is a philosophy, and they stuck to it.

Good work on the whole, with edge rusher the one box left unchecked.
