The Bills did not so much draft Tommy Mellott as overpay for him, 145 picks clear of his grade. It sets an uneasy tone for the weekend. They moved the roster forward and banked a B- for it.

Mondon Jr. at that cost is the sort of edge that compounds over a roster. A whole weekend of picks and wide receiver is somehow still a want. Linebacker is handled and the depth chart looks a good deal healthier for it.

A tidy weekend of work that should hold up just fine.
