The Bears treated their own grade as gospel and everyone else's as noise, spending slot 115 on Tahj Washington a full 64 spots early. Solid and sensible more than spectacular: a B+.

Everything downstream of Caleb Williams depends on Caleb Williams, and the building knows it. The phones were where this weekend was really won. The Bears indulged a want in Solomon while a need in running back, cornerback and other spots stayed open.

They covered a lot of ground and still skipped running back, which is a strange place to end up.
