timchiro DRAFTING FOR THESeahawks

FutureB-
Larceny in pick No. 78 lands the Seahawks a B, Fautanu and all. Call it larceny. Troy Fautanu sat on the board until slot 78, and the Seahawks did not need to be asked twice.
They will need Steele to outplay his draft slot in a hurry to justify it. For all the activity, edge rusher went untouched, which is hard to explain.
Not a headline-grabber, but a perfectly good weekend's work.
Pick Analysis
Pick17
Rnd1
JC Latham
JC Latham at No. 17 is right where the board had him, plain and simple. Top of the wish list, and they did not leave without it.
Pick78
Rnd3
Troy Fautanu
A offensive lineman of that caliber at Round 3, Pick 14 is the definition of value, full stop. Better still, it is exactly the hole they had to fill.
Pick79
Rnd3
Quinyon Mitchell
Quinyon Mitchell at pick 79 is the steal of the weekend, a first-round talent at a bargain-bin price. A minor itch, scratched.
Pick81
Rnd3
Braden Fiske
Braden Fiske in the 81st overall pick is exactly on the number, no argument either way. A sensible fit that makes the depth chart a little sturdier.
Pick118
Rnd4
Cooper Beebe
Taking Cooper Beebe in pick No. 118 is close to grand larceny; an offensive lineman that good had no business lasting this long. This was priority one on the needs board, and now it is handled.
Pick154
Rnd5
Ty'Ron Hopper
Ty'Ron Hopper in the Round 5 slot is fair value, right on his grade. A glaring weakness, addressed head on.
Pick194
Rnd6
Jared Wiley
A conviction pick on Jared Wiley at the 194th pick that the board grades a round light. Another box on the needs board, quietly ticked.
Pick236
Rnd7
Carson Steele
A swing that ignored the value entirely, Carson Steele well ahead of where he belonged. It fills a real need, too.
