Draft Grade — Jaguars
Overall B-
ValueC+ NeedB TradesB FutureB-
A solid, sensible weekend for the Jaguars: B-.

Somewhere a scout is still blinking. The Jaguars spent pick 113 on Bryson Nesbit, a name the board had a full 28 spots lower. No fireworks, but a solid B-.

The Conerly Jr. pick alone nudges the whole weekend up a notch. That linebacker hole did not close this weekend, and it was the biggest one on the wall. They left with wide receiver solved and the rest of the wish list mostly ticked off.

They chose more darts over a bigger single swing.

Nothing here to lose sleep over, and plenty to feel decent about.

Pick Analysis
Pick16 Rnd1 Ollie Gordon II
In No. 16 they get a lead back with juice, even if it was a touch early. A clean fit for the roster.
Pick49 Rnd2 Patrick Payton
Patrick Payton in the 49th pick is fine work, a shade of surplus and no downside. It thickens a room that could stand to be thicker.
Pick73 Rnd3 Andrew Mukuba
Andrew Mukuba at Round 3, Pick 9 is a sound buy, the sort that quietly helps a class. A sensible fit that makes the depth chart a little sturdier.
Pick80 Rnd3 Josh Conerly Jr.
You do not let an offensive lineman like Josh Conerly Jr. reach slot 80 and blink. They did not. This was priority one on the needs board, and now it is handled.
Pick105 Rnd4 Rylie Mills
Rylie Mills in pick No. 105 is the kind of reach that only looks good if he outplays it. Better still, it is exactly the hole they had to fill.
Pick112 Rnd4 Aydan White
A premium they did not need to pay, Aydan White a notch or two before his time. It also answers one of the loudest questions on the roster.
Pick113 Rnd4 Bryson Nesbit
They reached into another round for Bryson Nesbit, and the board is nowhere close to agreeing. Another box on the needs board, quietly ticked.
Pick144 Rnd5 Jonah Monheim
A tidy little value on Jonah Monheim in the Round 5 slot, a step better than break-even. A must-fix position, and they treated it like one.
Pick176 Rnd6 Hunter Wohler
They paid sticker price for Hunter Wohler in pick No. 176, and that is fine. The roster fit checks out.
Pick177 Rnd6 Moose Muhammad III
Nothing to complain about; Moose Muhammad III went a shade earlier than his grade, which is fine. Top of the wish list, and they did not leave without it.
Pick208 Rnd7 Steve Linton
Steve Linton at slot 208 is a clear overpay, with better names still on the board. Pure best-available; the position was not exactly begging.
