The Bears finally solved quarterback, and it carried them to a D-.

The trade table was where it all came apart. The Bears shipped out far more than they hauled back, and no amount of spin dresses up the bill. Too much went sideways, and the D- is the honest tally.

Everything downstream of Caleb Williams depends on Caleb Williams, and the building knows it. The Hunt pick reads as want over need, and the roster will feel it at linebacker.

They will need Washington to outplay his draft slot in a hurry to justify it. They covered a lot of ground and still skipped linebacker, which is a strange place to end up.

It is a steep hill from here, and the grade knows it.
