Nobody had Richard Jibunor this high, and it is not close. The Bears reached 92 spots to get him at pick No. 228. Call it a sensible B, earned the boring way.

Lovett falling to them is the kind of break a good board is built to catch. The running back hole is the one line item this class does not answer. The Tyrann Mathieu pickup adds a known quantity to a class of unknowns.

The roster is better shaped than it was, with edge rusher chief among the fixes.

A competent weekend that does not make headlines and does not need to.
