The best pick of the weekend was also the simplest. The Bears watched Dillon Gabriel slide 129 picks past his grade and did not hesitate. Nothing here to lose sleep over; call it a B+.

Burke has a lot of ground to make up just to look fairly priced. A modest surplus at the table, banked quietly. Stockpiling next year's capital is patient, if unglamorous, asset work.

The Erick All pickup adds a known quantity to a class of unknowns.

A competent weekend that does not make headlines and does not need to.
