Reese should have been long gone. The Bears pounced, and earned a B.

You can draft well and still miss the point. The Bears did plenty of tidy work and somehow never got around to edge rusher, which was the need that mattered most.

They banked enough surplus on Reese to cover a lot of smaller sins. Interior defensive lineman was the priority and it is no longer a question, which is most of the job. The weekend tilted hard toward the defense.

In sum, a sensible class that nudges the roster the right way.
