Give the war room a raise for the dealing alone. The Bears came out ahead on every exchange that mattered, and it was not close.

For all the activity, interior defensive lineman went untouched, which is hard to explain. Smith at that cost is the sort of edge that compounds over a roster.

Bottom line, they did the job about as well as it can be done.
