Call it larceny. Jaylen Reed sat on the board until pick No. 257, and the Bears did not need to be asked twice. It nets out to a B, which feels about right.

They will regret leaving cornerback for another day if the season turns on it. Every board in the league had Walker lower, and that gap is the story. Edge rusher was the priority and it is no longer a question, which is most of the job.

Small wins on the phones, but wins all the same.

In sum, a sturdy weekend with one asterisk, the cornerback spot they never got to.
