Draft Grade — Bears

FutureA-
The Bears cashed the board's mistake on Amegadjie: A-. The Bears did not reach, did not trade up, did not blink. They just waited, and Kiran Amegadjie fell into Round 4, Pick 11. Just about everything broke right, and the A- follows.
The All pick is the one the value grade keeps tripping over. The dealing alone would carry a lesser class.
They covered a lot of ground and still skipped edge rusher, which is a strange place to end up. The veteran additions, Dexter Lawrence chief among them, give the class a floor the rookies alone would not.
Add it up and this is about as clean as a draft weekend gets.
Pick Analysis
Pick6
Rnd1
Marvin Harrison Jr.
In Round 1, Pick 6 they get a true top target. A real need, handled.
Pick9
Rnd1
Jer'Zhan Newton
In No. 9 they get a pocket-collapsing interior rusher at fair value. It fills the loudest need on the roster.
Pick39
Rnd2
Rome Odunze
Rome Odunze in slot 39 is the kind of fall that makes a whole class. A sensible fit that makes the depth chart a little sturdier.
Pick111
Rnd4
Kiran Amegadjie
Circle this one: Kiran Amegadjie at the 111th overall pick is a fall that decides a draft. Another box on the needs board, quietly ticked.
Pick143
Rnd5
Javion Cohen
A market-rate offensive lineman, with the board and the slot shaking hands on Javion Cohen. It patches a soft spot without any drama.
Pick155
Rnd5
Kamal Hadden
They let Kamal Hadden come to them and pounced at pick 155. Top of the wish list, and they did not leave without it.
Pick186
Rnd6
Erick All
Erick All in pick No. 186 is a bet on their own eyes over everyone else's grade. A quiet depth add at a thin-ish spot.
Pick239
Rnd7
Matthew Jones
They liked Matthew Jones enough to skip the value, taking him in the Round 7 slot. It fills a real need, too.
