Start where it matters. The Bears took Caleb Williams to run the offense for the next decade, and every other decision this weekend bends around that one. Solid and sensible more than spectacular: a B+.

Every board in the league had McGregor lower, and that gap is the story. Every deal seemed to tilt their way, which is not luck.

They covered a lot of ground and still skipped linebacker, which is a strange place to end up. On value alone, McGlothern makes the weekend a net positive.

In sum, a sturdy weekend with one asterisk, the linebacker spot they never got to.
