The Bears found their guy under center in Nix: D.

They will call it conviction in the building and a reach everywhere else: Theo Johnson, 57 picks early at the 79th overall pick.

Bo Nix is the bet, and the class will be judged on how it pays off. The dealing is the wound this class cannot quite close. For all the activity, interior defensive lineman went untouched, which is hard to explain.

Getting Jones where they did is the sort of value that quietly makes a class. Spending an early pick on safety with interior defensive lineman, running back and other spots open is the decision the grade keeps circling back to.

Add it up and it is a weekend the front office will hope everyone forgets, interior defensive lineman very much included.
