Every so often the board makes a mistake, and the Lions were there to profit. Phil Mafah, the No. 221 name on the board, should have been long gone before the Round 7 slot.

Every board in the league had Jackson lower, and that gap is the story. They will regret leaving cornerback for another day if the season turns on it.
