The Bears spent the pick that matters most on Caleb Williams, and a roster that has been waiting on a passer can start to take shape. More right than wrong, and a B+ to match.

They robbed the room blind at the table, and it lifts the grade on its own. McGlothern at that cost is the sort of edge that compounds over a roster.

They punted on interior defensive lineman, and it is the miss that keeps the grade honest. The Van Pran reach is the anchor dragging on the value grade.

Solid rather than spectacular, and there is nothing wrong with that.
