The Bears won the night they stopped Phillips from sliding. Grade: B-.

When a board-topper like Jordan Phillips slides to the Round 5 slot, you do not overthink it, and the Bears did not.

Cook has a lot of ground to make up just to look fairly priced. They handed away value on the phones that the picks cannot earn back. Leaving edge rusher unaddressed is the roster risk they will have to answer for in the fall.

Not a headline-grabber, but a perfectly good weekend's work.
