Draft Grade — Bears
Overall B
ValueB NeedB+ TradesB- FutureB-
The Bears won the night they stopped Judkins from sliding. Grade: B.

The rest of the league will want that one back. Quinshon Judkins tumbling to the Bears in the 146th pick is a gift they did not have to think twice about.

Every board in the league had Grant lower, and that gap is the story. They covered a lot of ground and still skipped cornerback, which is a strange place to end up.

Nothing here to lose sleep over, and plenty to feel decent about.

Pick Analysis
Pick9 Rnd1 Mason Graham
In No. 9 they get a disruptive interior force. Exactly the need they had to hit.
Pick35 Rnd2 Tate Ratledge
A straight-up fair deal on Tate Ratledge at pick No. 35, value and slot in agreement. It shores up a spot that genuinely needed the help.
Pick41 Rnd2 LT Overton
They paid a round early for LT Overton in slot 41, more than the board wanted. The one spot they could not leave alone, and did not.
Pick73 Rnd3 Charles Grant
Value said wait; Charles Grant in Round 3, Pick 9 says they were not listening. It fills a real need, too.
Pick146 Rnd5 Quinshon Judkins
They will replay Quinshon Judkins at the 146th overall pick for years; that is how good the value is. It also answers one of the loudest questions on the roster.
Pick203 Rnd6 Rod Moore
Rod Moore at pick 203 is daylight robbery; nobody expected him to last. A minor need, but a need all the same.
Pick226 Rnd7 Bryce Foster
Circle this one: Bryce Foster at the Round 7 slot is a fall that decides a draft. Another box on the needs board, quietly ticked.
Pick244 Rnd7 Jack Kiser
Jack Kiser at the 244th pick is a first-round grade at a bargain-bin price, no notes. A need, and now a little less of one.
