The Bears let Bassa fall into their laps, and walked away with a B.

Somebody in No. 228 was going to get robbed, and it turned out to be the rest of the league. The Bears sat still while Jeffrey Bassa, the No. 123 name on the board, slid all the way to them, then sprinted to the podium. They moved the roster forward and banked a B for it.

The Jackson pick is the one the value grade keeps tripping over. The cornerback spot stays a question, and it was the one they most needed an answer at.

Edge rusher was the priority and it is no longer a question, which is most of the job. The trade work was a quiet net positive.

All told, a solid class that does its job everywhere but cornerback.
