Draft Grade — Bears

FutureB+
Nix is the plan now, and the Bears grade out a B+. The search is over. The Bears handed the keys to Bo Nix, and the whole operation now runs on his development. Solid and sensible more than spectacular: a B+.
Every deal seemed to tilt their way, which is not luck. They covered a lot of ground and still skipped interior defensive lineman, which is a strange place to end up.
All told, a draft that does its job without fuss, and there is real value in that.
Pick Analysis
Pick9
Rnd1
Rome Odunze
In the Round 1 slot they get a difference-maker at receiver. A real need, handled.
Pick21
Rnd1
Bo Nix
They took Bo Nix at par in pick No. 21, which is nothing to complain about. It fills a real need, too.
Pick35
Rnd2
Troy Fautanu
Troy Fautanu at pick 35 is right where the board had him, plain and simple. A sensible fit for a spot that needed help.
Pick47
Rnd2
Chris Braswell
A slide stopped in the 47th pick, with Chris Braswell worth more than the price. A must-fix position, and they treated it like one.
