Grand theft in the 39th overall pick: the Bears steal Starks and grade out a F.

The Bears lost the trade war and it was not close, handing partners the better end again and again. A weekend to file away and forget, and an F to match.

They punted on edge rusher, and it is the miss that keeps the grade honest. They banked enough surplus on Starks to cover a lot of smaller sins. The bill for those future picks comes due whether the class hits or not.

The Bears clearly valued win-now help, adding bodies who have done it before.

About as rough as a weekend gets on paper, with edge rusher still staring back at them.
