Muhammad III should have been long gone. The Bears pounced, and earned a B.

Somebody in pick 186 was going to get robbed, and it turned out to be the rest of the league. The Bears sat still while Moose Muhammad III, the No. 154 name on the board, slid all the way to them, then sprinted to the podium.

They won the margins on every swap, and it adds up fast. If this class has a fault line, it runs straight through interior defensive lineman.

The veteran additions, Keenan Allen chief among them, give the class a floor the rookies alone would not. The roster is better shaped than it was, with edge rusher chief among the fixes.

All told, a solid class that does its job everywhere but interior defensive lineman.
