The Bears ran the phones like sharks, prying loose value on deal after deal until the ledger was lopsided.

For all the activity, running back went untouched, which is hard to explain. However the rest shakes out, Egbuka at that price is a win they earned.

The Bears paired the rookies with proven help, Tyreek Hill leading the way. The hoard sets up next April more than it helps this September.

Bottom line, they left the weekend a clearly better team, and they earned every bit of it.
