You can lose a draft before you make a pick. The Bears did it at the trade table, overpaying to chase players the board did not price nearly as high.

Everything downstream of Caleb Williams depends on Caleb Williams, and the building knows it. The interior defensive lineman hole is the one line item this class does not answer.

However the rest shakes out, Jackson at that price is a win they earned.

The verdict is not kind, and fairly so; this class has a hill to climb.
