No fireworks, just a tidy B for the Bears.

Nobody else had KJ Jefferson anywhere near pick No. 204. The Bears did, by 93 spots, and that gap is the whole story. They moved the roster forward and banked a B for it.

James falling to them is the kind of break a good board is built to catch. They will regret leaving cornerback for another day if the season turns on it.

Spending an early pick on safety with cornerback open is the decision the grade keeps circling back to. They left with edge rusher solved and the rest of the wish list mostly ticked off.

Nothing here to lose sleep over, and plenty to feel decent about.
