The Bears did not reach, did not trade up, did not blink. They just waited, and Nicholas Singleton fell into Round 7, Pick 24. Good, not great, and the B+ says as much.

The cost of the Skattebo reach is exactly the players who went right after him. Leaving cornerback unaddressed is the roster risk they will have to answer for in the fall. The trade work was a quiet net positive.

In sum, a sturdy weekend with one asterisk, the cornerback spot they never got to.
