The Bears lost the trade war and it was not close, handing partners the better end again and again. It grades a D, and the process earned it.

Jayden Daniels is the bet, and the class will be judged on how it pays off. Leaving interior defensive lineman unaddressed is the roster risk they will have to answer for in the fall.

They will need Steele to outplay his draft slot in a hurry to justify it. Wilson at that cost is the sort of edge that compounds over a roster.

Bottom line, they will need several of these picks to beat their grades just to break even, and interior defensive lineman is still a hole.
