Draft Grade — Bears
Overall A-
ValueB NeedB TradesA+ FutureA
Quarterback settled, Williams in the fold, and a A- for the Bears.

Start where it matters. The Bears took Caleb Williams to run the offense for the next decade, and every other decision this weekend bends around that one. A near-flawless weekend of work, and a A- to cap it.

The trade ledger is the best part of the whole weekend. The interior defensive lineman spot stays a question, and it was the one they most needed an answer at.

That Powers-Johnson pick is the receipt they will wave around later. The Bears clearly valued win-now help, adding bodies who have done it before.

In the end it comes back to Caleb Williams, and a haul good enough to build on right away.

Pick Analysis
Pick2 Rnd1 Caleb Williams
In Round 1, Pick 2 they get the arm they will build around. A clean fit for the roster.
Pick15 Rnd1 Rome Odunze
In slot 15 they get a go-to option on the outside at fair value. A real need, handled.
Pick34 Rnd2 Nate Wiggins
They stopped a slide they were happy to see, landing Nate Wiggins in No. 34. It answers the question that was keeping the coaches up at night.
Pick47 Rnd2 Jonah Elliss
A straight-up fair deal on Jonah Elliss at pick No. 47, value and slot in agreement. A glaring weakness, addressed head on.
Pick104 Rnd4 Jackson Powers-Johnson
Jackson Powers-Johnson is a better player than the 104th overall pick suggests; smart patience, rewarded. One more legitimate question on the roster, answered.
Pick141 Rnd5 Shilo Sanders
Shilo Sanders in the 141st pick lands just on the right side of the ledger. Useful depth more than a marquee fix.
