Draft Grade — Bears
Overall
A
ValueB

FutureA+
The Bears cashed the board's mistake on Burton: A. The best pick of the weekend was also the simplest. The Bears watched Jermaine Burton slide 48 picks past his grade and did not hesitate.
The trade ledger is the best part of the whole weekend. They punted on interior defensive lineman, and it is the miss that keeps the grade honest.
Bottom line, with Dallas Turner leading the way, this is a class that should pay off fast and rarely be regretted.
Pick Analysis
Pick13
Rnd1
Dallas Turner
In slot 13 they get a bendy edge with upside. The biggest hole, addressed.
Pick31
Rnd1
Chop Robinson
In pick No. 31 they get a quarterback's worst nightmare at fair value. It fills the loudest need on the roster.
Pick63
Rnd2
Jackson Powers-Johnson
No drama and no debate, Jackson Powers-Johnson went about where he belonged in the Round 2 slot. A need, and now a little less of one.
Pick75
Rnd3
Javon Bullard
Javon Bullard at No. 75 is money in the bank, a safety taken below his worth. Useful body for a position without much behind the starter.
Pick77
Rnd3
Johnny Wilson
Johnny Wilson in pick 77 lands just on the right side of the ledger. It shores up a spot that genuinely needed the help.
Pick98
Rnd3
Cooper Beebe
A reach for Cooper Beebe in the 98th overall pick; a little patience would have been rewarded. Another box on the needs board, quietly ticked.
Pick110
Rnd4
Jermaine Burton
They robbed the room for Jermaine Burton here, a fall nobody at the table saw coming. It fills a real need, too.
Pick125
Rnd4
Khyree Jackson
They did well to land Khyree Jackson in Round 4, Pick 25, just ahead of his grade. It also answers one of the loudest questions on the roster.
Pick177
Rnd6
Jordan Travis
Jordan Travis at slot 177 is daylight robbery; nobody expected him to last. It patches a soft spot without any drama.
Pick186
Rnd6
Julian Pearl
Quietly one of the better values of the day, Julian Pearl at Round 6, Pick 11. A sensible fit for a spot that needed help.
Pick232
Rnd7
Xavier Restrepo
Xavier Restrepo slid further than he should have, and the Round 7 slot is lovely value for the wide receiver. A sensible fit that makes the depth chart a little sturdier.
