Jfields1 DRAFTING FOR THEBears
Draft Grade — Bears

A franchise passer in Williams headlines a B- weekend for the Bears. The one hole that towered over the rest is filled. The Bears spent their marquee pick on Caleb Williams, and for the first time in a while there is a real answer at quarterback. A sturdy weekend that grades out a B-.
They will regret leaving interior defensive lineman for another day if the season turns on it. Every board in the league had Baker lower, and that gap is the story.
They left with edge rusher solved and the rest of the wish list mostly ticked off.
Good work on the whole, with interior defensive lineman the one box left unchecked.
Pick Analysis
Pick1
Rnd1
Caleb Williams
In Round 1, Pick 1 they get a passer to set the clock by. A real need, handled.
Pick9
Rnd1
Olumuyiwa Fashanu
In the 9th overall pick they get a cornerstone up front at fair value. A clean fit for the roster.
Pick75
Rnd3
Javon Baker
They paid up for Javon Baker at pick 75 when waiting would have done the job. A real hole, addressed with a reasonable pick.
Pick122
Rnd4
Mohamed Kamara
A premium they did not need to pay, Mohamed Kamara a notch or two before his time. This was priority one on the needs board, and now it is handled.
