A franchise passer in Williams headlines a D weekend for the Bears.

The trade table was where it all came apart. The Bears shipped out far more than they hauled back, and no amount of spin dresses up the bill. A weekend that fought the value and lost, hence the D.

They have staked the next five years on Caleb Williams, which is the only story that really matters here. Landing Corley that late papers over a lot of smaller sins. The Powell-Ryland pick is the one the value grade keeps tripping over.

Edge rusher is handled and the depth chart looks a good deal healthier for it.

In the end, a class the front office will want to grow past quickly.
