You could see the war room lean forward. Ali Jennings at the 231st pick is the sort of fall that does not happen, except it just did.

The trade ledger is the best part of the whole weekend. The cost of the Kinchens reach is exactly the players who went right after him.

The Bears indulged a want in Smith while a need in interior defensive lineman, cornerback and other spots stayed open. Leaving interior defensive lineman unaddressed is the roster risk they will have to answer for in the fall.

In the end it comes back to Rome Odunze, and a haul good enough to build on right away.
