You build a draft on nights like this. Mike Sainristil had no business being available in slot 122, and the Bears did the only sane thing and turned in the card. This is how you run a draft, and the A- reflects it.

Caleb Williams is the bet, and the class will be judged on how it pays off. Every deal seemed to tilt their way, which is not luck. Every board in the league had Smith lower, and that gap is the story.

They covered a lot of ground and still skipped edge rusher, which is a strange place to end up.

Bottom line, with Caleb Williams leading the way, this is a class that should pay off fast and rarely be regretted.
