The steal of the weekend belongs to the Bears and Linton: B+.

The real work happened on the phones. The Bears fleeced their trade partners, turning their picks into a noticeably bigger pile than they started with. No fireworks, but a solid B+.

Getting Linton where they did is the sort of value that quietly makes a class. For all the activity, running back went untouched, which is hard to explain.

Adding Jordan Whitehead by trade rounds out the weekend beyond the rookies. The future picks help the war chest more than the win-now roster.

A competent weekend that does not make headlines and does not need to.
