The Bears let Walker fall into their laps, and walked away with a B.

Somebody in the Round 7 slot was going to get robbed, and it turned out to be the rest of the league. The Bears sat still while Devontez Walker, the No. 149 name on the board, slid all the way to them, then sprinted to the podium.

They will need Powers-Johnson to outplay his draft slot in a hurry to justify it. Leaving interior defensive lineman unaddressed is the roster risk they will have to answer for in the fall.

The hoard sets up next April more than it helps this September. Edge rusher was the priority and it is no longer a question, which is most of the job.

All told, a solid class that does its job everywhere but interior defensive lineman.
