The Jack Nelson selection is the head-turner. The Bears reached 73 spots for him, and it will define how this weekend is remembered. Solid and sensible more than spectacular: a B.

They punted on running back, and it is the miss that keeps the grade honest. White at that cost is the sort of edge that compounds over a roster.

Edge rusher is handled and the depth chart looks a good deal healthier for it. The trenches got the money picks, top to bottom.

In sum, a sturdy weekend with one asterisk, the running back spot they never got to.
