You build a draft on nights like this. Lathan Ransom had no business being available in No. 149, and the Bears did the only sane thing and turned in the card.

The edge rusher hole is the one line item this class does not answer. Job largely done: interior defensive lineman settled and 6 of 8 of the wish list covered. Building through the lines is a philosophy, and they stuck to it.

In short, they left a little better than they arrived, which is the whole idea.
