Draft Grade — Bears
Overall
B-
ValueB

FutureB-
A solid, sensible weekend for the Bears: B-. You can draft well and still miss the point. The Bears did plenty of tidy work and somehow never got around to interior defensive lineman, which was the need that mattered most.
Edge rusher is handled and the depth chart looks a good deal healthier for it. They came away with juice, if not much beef up front.
In sum, a sensible class that nudges the roster the right way.
Pick Analysis
Pick1
Rnd1
Marvin Harrison Jr.
In Round 1, Pick 1 they get a matchup problem out wide at fair value.
Pick9
Rnd1
Olumuyiwa Fashanu
In pick No. 9 they get an anchor for the offensive line. A real need, handled.
Pick75
Rnd3
Blake Corum
No drama and no debate, Blake Corum went about where he belonged in the 75th overall pick. A glaring weakness, addressed head on.
Pick110
Rnd4
Junior Colson
A straight-up fair deal on Junior Colson at slot 110, value and slot in agreement. A sensible fit that makes the depth chart a little sturdier.
Pick127
Rnd4
Jaden Hicks
Jaden Hicks in the 127th pick is exactly on the number, no argument either way. It thickens a room that could stand to be thicker.
Pick146
Rnd5
Cedric Johnson
Cedric Johnson in No. 146 is fair value, right on his grade. A must-fix position, and they treated it like one.
