FutureB-
The Bears bet the future on Williams. The board says B+. After circling the position for what felt like forever, the Bears committed. Caleb Williams is the quarterback now, and the roster gets built to his timeline.
They won the margins on every swap, and it adds up fast. If this class has a fault line, it runs straight through running back. Frazier at that cost is the sort of edge that compounds over a roster.
Adding Corey Davis by trade rounds out the weekend beyond the rookies.
All told, a solid class that does its job everywhere but running back.
Pick Analysis
Pick1
Rnd1
Caleb Williams
In pick 1 they get a franchise quarterback at fair value.
Pick10
Rnd1
Rome Odunze
In Round 1, Pick 10 they get a weapon on the perimeter at fair value. A clean fit for the roster.
Pick72
Rnd3
Zach Frazier
A quiet steal in slot 72: Zach Frazier for less than the market said. It shores up a spot that genuinely needed the help.
Pick75
Rnd3
Ruke Orhorhoro
Nothing to complain about; Ruke Orhorhoro went a shade earlier than his grade, which is fine. They walked in needing this and walked out with it.
Pick122
Rnd4
Mohamed Kamara
They paid a round early for Mohamed Kamara in the 122nd pick, more than the board wanted. This was priority one on the needs board, and now it is handled.
